Sending Financial Help to Haiti
As a result of the earthquake in Haiti, and that Port-au-Prince was so severely damaged, it is estimated that people only have a four-day supply of food and little or no clean water. I am asking you to join with me in collecting bottled water and toiletries to be sent over with disaster relief crews.
There will be a collection bin Messiah's Gathering Space.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, in response to the devastation
caused by the earthquake in Haiti, has announed a
$1 million challenge to its members across the country.

Thrivent Financial will match $1 for every $2 donated by
Thrivent Financial members up to $1 million
            (for the potential of generating $3 million ).
Funds will be directed to four Lutheran organizations
to support their Haiti earthquake relief efforts:
- Lutheran World Relief,        - LCMS World Relief
- ELCA Disaster Response,    - Human Care and WELS
- Committee on Relief.

     by phone at 1-800-236-3736 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
              Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Thrivent Financial will add a maximum of $250
 per member donation
Donations will be accepted through March 31, 2010.
