MISSION MINISTRIES
The following are special programs here at Messiah answering Christ's call to
mission and ministry. We are called through Christ to help those in need as well
as spread the Word of God, whether in our own church and community, neighbors close to home or oceans away.

FEED YOUR NEIGHBOR
The first Sunday of every month, we have a special collection of nonperishable
food products to help those in our community in need of food. This food collected by the children during the service is then donated to our local Mustard Seed for distribution.
AGAPE
The third Tuesday of each month, members of Messiah help serve a hot meal
to members of our sister church, Salem Lutheran. This has proven to me a very positive service program for all involved and looked forward to by the Salem community.
TOLEDOANS UNITED FOR SOCIAL ACTION (TUSA)
Messiah plays an active role in TUSA and it's very important objectives to improve the welfare and protection of all members of our community near and far.
TUSA unites, organizes, and trains leaders from diverse congregations
to build a powerful community voice. Individually and collectively, we empower ourselves, hold officials accountable, achieve systemic change, and promote fairness, justice, and democracy in Toledo and in Lucas County.

COMMUNION TO THE HOMEBOUND
Taking communion to those unable to attend our services, provides the so important opportunity to partake of the bread and wine reassuring of God's
forgiveness through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. It also provides much appreciated social contact and connection with our Christian family at Messiah. Those who take this service into each home,
come away feeling the power of God's Spirit as much as those who were
given the communion visit.
YOUTH ADVENTURE PROGRAM (Y.A.P.)
This is an after-school program for first through sixth graders of the community. It is held on Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. and is full of fun, crafts, friends and games, along with a bible lesson. A delicious dinner provides an additional and welcomed benefit to this youth ministry.
