To do our church's ministry and the many activities of that goal,
we continually look for sources of funds to continue our ministry
and help it to grow. Below are some ways we can help provide these funds.
Some, as the Scrip Program, are at no extra expense.
The Scrip Program
We have a program here at Messiah called the Scrip Program.
This gift-card program has earned us thousands of dollars over
the last few years. This is money we have used for many good causes
and filled some gaps in our budget.
--The gift-cards are from restaurants, pharmacies, home improvement
stores, grocery stores, and many other businesses for purchases
made by us.
--There is no charge for the card except what you plan to spend at the store!
--The cards come in several dollar amounts and that dollar amount is
spendable at that card's store.
--Some cards such as Kroger's can be "reloaded" (money added to it)
at the store if your purchase is more than the card amount.
Messiah gets a rebate for the cards you purchase and
you get the full value of the card. It's a good thing!
Where can you get these cards?
They can also be purchased in the church office.
For your convenience, scrip cards may now be orderd in "advance".
To find out more about, and use this benefit::
--see the display of business names working with the Scrip program.
(inside the church entrance from 108th street)
--find the order forms.
--- Completed advanced order forms are ...placed in the basket or
...turned into the office
--- The cards will be distributed the following Sunday, or
they may be picked up at the office during the week.
--- Special orders may be placed for cards of larger value than those
kept regularly at church.
(Any special orders will be ....in the office by Thursday or
.....distributed the following Sunday. )
Note: Although we have a long list of venders from whom we stock cards.....if you have a need of another vender where you consistently
purchase, we will try to stock that card.
News Note: See page 2 for a change in the Meijer card use.
Please stop by, look at the variety of gift Scrip cards available,
and help us through this program to bring in much needed income.
If you have any suggestions about how you would like to see
this program function, please call the office........419-726-0049

Donation
These funds are a vital source helping with the improvements, development and ministry of many non-profit organizations. This is especially true of the church. From the beginning, the "spreading of God's word" has been made possible through
the donations of those wanting to help in this mission.
Although individuals may leave "donations" in their will, and this remembrance is greatly appreciated, donations given when able to see its workings are also a blessing and spiritually uplifting
Please keep Messiah Lutheran Church here in Point Place in your heart and mind
as you feel God's calling for your help.
Worship Offering
MINISTRY GOES ON WHILE YOU ARE GONE.
Please remember that your offering is not "the price of admission" you pay only when you attend. Your offering is one expression of your stewardship of everything God has entrusted to you (that is everything you’ve got ...), and your offering is your support of the work of the Church locally, nationally, and throughout the world.
ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS:
The new 2007 Entertainment books are now available at church.
They may be purchased for $30.00 from Sue S. or from the church office.
